29-year-old midfielder misses out in Conte 3-4-3: Chelsea best possible XI to play Wolves

COMMENT By Danny Wright

There’s no room once again for Cesc Fabregas in Chelsea’s best possible XI to face Wolves on Saturday evening in the FA Cup.

Antonio Conte’s men face a trip to Molineux and the exuberant Italian only has to make one change from last week’s 1-1 draw with Burnley to put out the team best equipped to dispatch Wolves back to the Championship.

Conte doesn’t have to worry about rotation, with no European competition to tire his red-hot squad.

Kurt Zouma is now back to full fitness after a horrendous knee injury last season and he comes into the squad in place of David Luiz, who has been struggling with a knee problem.

The French centre-back joins Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill to toughen up what is already one of the best defences in European football.

Fabregas would still not find his way back into the starting line-up as Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante have created a formidable partnership in the Chelsea midfield.

The Serb and the former Leicester man have been brilliant both on and off the ball this season, contributing with assists, tackles and interceptions.

Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses continue their tireless work on the flanks.

Pedro continues to force Willian out of the team due to his impressive performances in recent weeks and he starts in a front three with the exceptional Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.

Costa hasn’t scored in his last three games and Conte will see the Wolves defence as the perfect opportunity to boost his confidence.

It means Michy Batshuayi starts from the bench again, despite starting both of the previous FA Cup games for Chelsea.
