Fabio Cardoso sends Twitter message to Rangers fans after win v Hibernian

Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso has shared a message with Gers fans after thousands of them travelled to Easter Road in freezing conditions to see their side triumph 2-1 over Hibs on Wednesday night.

The Gers fans travelled in their usual impressive numbers despite the weather to see goals from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos secure the three points for Graeme Murty’s side.

Hibs had taken the lead through Lewis Stevenson and kept the Gers under serious pressure for long spells but couldn’t find a second way past Wes Foderingham.

Cardoso wasn’t involved in the win over Neil Lennon’s side but took to social media to express his awe towards the Gers fans.

“4 in a row. Let’s make it 5 Saturday! No words for the supporters yesterday like always,” Cardoso said on his personal Twitter account.

The victory was Rangers’ fourth consecutive league win and incredibly beats Celtic’s best run of three consecutive league wins so far this season

Cardoso could find himself involved on Saturday when the Light Blues take on Tommy Wright’s St. Johnstone at Ibrox.

The Gers are currently five points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic with an Old Firm clash between the sides rapidly approaching.

Graeme Murty takes his side to Celtic Park on December 30th in the final game before the Scottish Premiership’s winter break.
