Noni Madueke makes ‘big’ Arsenal social media confession

Noni Madueke has had a positive start to his Arsenal career, with the winger set to return to action after the international break.

Madueke hasn’t appeared for Arsenal since their 1-1 draw against Man City in September, after moving to the club from Chelsea in the summer.

The 23-year-old is set to return to action when Arsenal host north London rivals Tottenham, with the Gunners looking to continue their bid for the Premier League title.

Arsenal’s 2-2 draw at Sunderland gave their rivals the chance to close the gap at the top, but the Gunners still hold a four point advantage over Man City.

Noni Madueke appreciates the Arsenal support

Madueke’s move to Arsenal from Chelsea was not initially welcomed by the Gunners support, with many questioning why Mikel Arteta had signed the winger over other targets.

However, Madueke’s bright performances has changed the mood around his signing at Emirates Stadium, with the England international praising the support on Arsenal’s podcast The Dispatch [12 November].

It was a bit dicey at the start on like social media and stuff before I came to the club,” Madueke admitted.

But when I’ve been in the stadium like I haven’t felt like fans, I haven’t felt that close to fans to be honest.

“I play on the side of the pitch so I can hear them literally throughout the game pushing me on whenever I get the ball I hear them. God willing that continues because it gives me a big big boost.

I always love playing at the Emirates like I’m always looking forward to the next game when I’m at the Emirates.

The fans have been amazing. I really appreciate how they’ve handled everything, top.

Noni Madueke could face further competition at Arsenal

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Arsenal would have to pay £90million to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

Such a signing would further add quality and competition to Arteta’s attacking ranks, though a huge fee will unlikely be paid in the January transfer window.

Rodrygo was a target for the club in the summer, though a move did not materialise with Gabriel Martinelli staying put and Leandro Trossard agreeing to improved terms.
