Noni Madueke mocks Ezri Konsa in ‘cold’ message to Morgan Rogers
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa was the butt of a joke in a social media exchange between teammate Morgan Rogers and Chelsea ace Noni Madueke.
The 22-year-old opened the scoring with a lovely curling effort in Aston Villa’s 3-1 Premier League win over Brentford on Wednesday (December 4), ending their eight-game winless streak across all competitions.
Ollie Watkins doubled their lead with a penalty in the 28th minute before Matty Cash made it three just six minutes later.
Brentford midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard made it tense with a goal just after halftime, but Unai Emery’s side held out to secure a much-needed win.
Rogers has established himself as a key player for Villa this season, starting all 19 of his appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists in 1562 minutes of action.
Villa’s win over Brentford has them back in the race for European qualification, sitting in eighth, four points off Man City in fourth with 22.
Madueke, 22 isn’t looking too bad either, starting 13 of his 16 appearances, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 1066 minutes of play.
Noni Madueke and Morgan Rogers unimpressed with Ezri Konsa’s dancing after Aston Villa win
Konsa, 27, has been a lynchpin at the heart of the Aston Villa defence, starting all 16 of his appearances across all competitions, yielding a total of 1362 minutes on the pitch.
Rogers took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the win and his impressive goal, to which Madueke, promptly responded by mocking Konsa’s dancing, saying: “Cold finish bro but why’s @ezrikonsa so stiff????”

Luckily for the Chelsea winger, Konsa took the criticism of his moves in good humour, responding with two laughing Emojis before saying: “Getting old bro.”
Villa face strugglers Southampton, the side Madueke bagged a goal and an assist against earlier in the season, on Saturday (December 7).
