Noni Madueke reacts to Kai Havertz message as Chelsea to Arsenal transfer nears
Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has responded to Arsenal star Kai Havertz on social media as he nears a move to the Gunners from Stamford Bridge.
Madueke enjoyed a decent season for Chelsea in 2024/25, as he registered 11 goals and five assists in 44 appearances, while playing a key part in their Conference League triumph.
The Blues have been busy in the transfer market so far this summer, though, and his future at Stamford Bridge looks uncertain as Chelsea close in on signing Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
Former scout Mick Brown told Football Insider back in April that Chelsea were set to accept offers for Madueke this summer, amid interest from both Tottenham and Aston Villa.
It is another London club that looks set to snap him up this summer though, after Arsenal agreed personal terms with Madueke last week, and he has now further fuelled those rumours by interacting with Havertz online.

Madueke likes new Havertz post on Instagram
Former scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on Monday, 7 July, that Arsenal were set to step up their efforts to sign Madueke, with a formal offer for his services, and Fabrizio Romano revealed on Wednesday, 9 July, that the Gunners had submitted a £50million bid to Chelsea for his services.
Enzo Maresca’s concerns about Madueke’s attitude mean he looks set to make the move across the capital soon, and he recently moved to leave a like on potential future teammate Kai Havertz’ Instagram post.
The Arsenal forward took to the site on Wednesday to deliver an update of him being back in training ahead of the new season alongside an encouraging caption that read: “Good to be back. Let’s go!!” and a number of his Gunners teammates also reacted to the post, with Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba liking the message, among others.
Madueke could struggle for game-time at Arsenal
Football Insider verdict
Chelsea are willing to let Madueke leave should the right fee arrive, and are prepared to engage in conversations with Arsenal, according to former scout Brown, so it looks as if this deal could happen despite the Blues wanting more than the £50m already offered.

Madueke is surely set to be behind England teammate Saka in the pecking order for minutes on the right-wing at the Emirates, though, and you would imagine he needs ample game-time in the upcoming season to remain in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the 2026 World Cup.
It looks as if Gittens’ arrival at Stamford Bridge from Dortmund is set to force him out, however, and so he could be in line for more minutes at Arsenal, even if he has to settle for a back-up role.
A move to the Gunners might not be the best from a personal standpoint, it certainly could be a lot worse considering their consistent recent title challenges and Champions League football being on offer.
