Noni Madueke sends message to Chelsea fans after Cole Palmer incident
Chelsea ace Noni Madueke has taken to social media to ease fan frustrations after the incident with Cole Palmer in their 2-1 win over Leicester on Saturday (November 23).
With Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen scrambling, Madueke, 22, inadvertently cleared Palmer’s goal-bound shot off the home side’s goal line with the score at 1-0.
Thankfully for Chelsea, acting captain Enzo Fernandez was on hand to score their second and secure the win upon Enzo Maresca’s return to the King Power Stadium.
Chelsea were lucky to concede just one penalty late in the game, with referee Andy Madley waving Leicester’s protests away following Wesley Fofana’s challenge on Stephy Mavididi.
Substitute Romeo Lavia wasn’t quite so lucky, however, catching Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s trailing leg and allowing Andre Ayew to score from the spot.
Palmer, 22, is now without a goal contribution in his last three Premier League games, quite the drought for Chelsea’s star man.
No bad blood between Chelsea duo Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer
In the end, Madueke’s accidental intervention didn’t prove pivotal, with the two players looking at each other and smiling just after the incident.
The right winger posted an image of the two players, accompanied by a song titled It’s Okay by Hunxho on Instagram after the game as a little nod to their earlier mix-up.

The win over Leicester keeps Chelsea in third, now just one point behind Man City after their humbling 4-0 defeat to Tottenham in the late kick-off.
With some tricky fixtures already out of the way and some more favourable ones coming up, Maresca’s side are once again in contention for Champions League qualification come the end of the season.
