Norwich City in advanced talks to appoint new manager – sources
Norwich City are in advanced talks to appoint a new manager after David Wagner’s departure, sources have told Football Insider.
The Canaries are expected to make a quick appointment to replace their former boss, with an overseas boss firmly on their radar.
Sources say that talks are already at an advanced stage over appointing a manager who would require a work permit before he arrives at Carrow Road.
Wagner was sacked as Norwich boss on 17 May after losing the playoff semi-final second leg 4-0 to Leeds United at Elland Road.

Wagner had been widely criticised by many since arriving at Norwich, but a late run of form gave them a chance at an unexpected promotion.
A sixth-placed finish this season saw them qualify for the playoffs, but they found disappointment against former boss Daniel Farke.
Farke was the most successful Norwich boss in recent years, overseeing two promotion campaigns.
Norwich chiefs are now set to search abroad for their new boss once more, with the German having arrived from Borussia Dortmund II.
With Norwich set to embark on their third straight season in the Championship, the board are keen for next season to see them promoted back to the Premier League.

Wagner arrived at Carrow Road in January 2023 on what was a 12-month rolling contract but lost his position just 16 months later.
In other news, Archie Gray stunned fans after what he did for Leeds.
