‘Not a panic move’ – Manchester City backed to seal late Rodrygo deal
Manchester City could sign Real Madrid and Brazil star Rodrygo before the summer transfer window closes.
While the transfer window ends on Monday, 1 September, Man City have signed players like James Trafford amid a busy summer of recruitment.
However, the former Burnley goalkeeper struggled as Manchester City were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham on Saturday, 23 August.
Meanwhile, the Etihad Stadium club’s former financial advisor, Stefan Borson, exclusively told Football Insider that Man City have agreed personal terms with Rodrygo.

Amid the news that Manchester City are interested in Rodrygo, Pep Guardiola’s current wingers struggled to threaten against Spurs.
The North West club will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they travel to Brighton for their third Premier League game of the season on Sunday, 31 August.
Meanwhile, when asked if Guardiola’s men need Rodrygo, Ally McCoist told talkSPORT on Monday, 25 August: “I think they probably are (needing Rodrygo). Looking at it from the weekend, not just judging it on the one game they’re a little bit disappointing.
“I thought (Omar) Marmoush started the game (well) first 10-15 minutes, he looked lively. Oscar Bobb on the other side didn’t really do enough for me. They brought (Jeremy) Doku on second half.
“(Phil) Foden came on as well second half. I actually don’t think they’ve ever replaced (Riyad) Mahrez to be honest with you.
“I can see that move happening. They would need to get rid of Savinho as well, wouldn’t they? It’s not a panic move. I just think they could do with more in wider areas.”

However, fellow top-flight title hopefuls Arsenal and Liverpool have both strengthened their forward lines significantly this summer by signing Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike, respectively.
Meanwhile, the defending champions remain keen on Newcastle United hotshot Alexander Isak.
With that in mind, Manchester City could give themselves a more clinical attack by signing winger Rodrygo from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Brazil international proved his worth last season by notching 14 goals and nine assists across all competitions last term, including five goals in 12 Champions League outings.
