'Overrated', 'Not a chance' - Celtic fans react to Chris Sutton transfer claim
Celtic fans on Twitter have dismissed claims made by former Hoops striker Chris Sutton that the Bhoys spend big money on Hibernian midfielder John McGinn.
Writing in his column in the Daily Record, Sutton suggests that McGinn is the natural replacement for Hoops captain Scott Brown and that the Bhoys should spend up to £5million on the Scotland international.
When asking fans if they agreed with the article, many fans vehemently disagreed with Sutton, with one claiming that “he’s not good enough”.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Sutton’s suggestion that the Hoops spend big money on the 23-year-old:
He’s not good enough.

Give me N'tcham ahead of McGinn every day of the week.

Second best in the country if you remove the Celtic players from the equation. Not a chance he’s currently better than Ntcham, Armstrong or Rogic. Mulumbu at Killie is also better. He has potential to improve though.

Don't see it at all Chris. The most overrated player in the league. He's good but not great

Completely disagree. And why are people so keen to ‘replace Brown’ – the last thing any new signing needs. Plus Ntcham is fast becoming the best midfielder in the country

Second best midfielder in the country by a stretch? Not a chance. He’d be 4th, possibly 5th best at Celtic for a start

If McGinn was to join the Hoops, he would face a battle to get into the side, as not only would he have competition from Brown for a first-team place, but he would have to fend off the likes of Olivier Ntcham, Callum McGregor and Eboue Kouassi for a place in the first-team.
McGinn has done well against the Hoops this season, scoring twice in a 2-2 draw at Celtic Park earlier in the season, and having a titanic battle in a clash with Brown at Easter Road in December.
