Not just Antoine Semenyo, Premier League clubs to be on alert for ‘unbelievable’ star as Andoni Iraola exit looms

Bournemouth have become accustomed to losing their biggest stars, and Antoine Semenyo appears next to leave the Vitality Stadium.

Chelsea were the latest club to register an interest in Semenyo, alongside the likes of Man United, Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Arsenal, with the transfer race truly heating up ahead of next month.

The Cherries lost several stars during the previous transfer window, and it is beginning to show, as Iraola’s side continue their dreadful run of form, last winning a game at the end of October.

It is hardly a surprise, with Milos Kerkez moving to Liverpool, and Dean Huijsen, Illia Zabarnyi, and Dango Ouattara all departing the south coast for other European clubs.

Andoni Iraola’s current deal set to expire at the end of 2025-26

Despite the incredible drop in form, Iraola continues to be praised for his work at the Vitality Stadium, with several European giants’ alarm bells ringing over the manager’s current situation.

Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Iraola is under growing pressure as Bournemouth boss, and while those on the south coast absolutely adore him, his future currently looks bleak.

The Spaniard has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Vitality, and his deal expires at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, throwing doubt over whether he will be in charge next season.

Man United are one of the teams interested in his signature, should they finally decide to sack Ruben Amorim, and that could force further players to part ways with the Cherries after Semenyo.

Since leaving Ashton Gate, the 22-year-old has earned his England call-up, having made 68 first-team appearances for the Cherries, with this his best campaign to date.

It is certainly no surprise to see Premier League clubs slowly lining up for his signature. He has Iraola to thank for his development over the seasons, and if the manager is to leave, he could follow shortly after.

The Red Devils and the Lilywhites are the two main teams currently interested, but that is not to say that further clubs will not join the race closer to the summer transfer window.
