Nuno dealt 'nightmare' blow pre-Tottenham clash against Newcastle - pundit
Alan Hutton has admitted Nuno Espirito Santo has been dealt a “nightmare” blow with four Tottenham stars likely to be missing against Newcastle United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs defender insisted there is a “club v country” divide developing after another controversial international break.
As reported by the Evening Standard (7th October), Spurs could be without Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, Emerson Royal and Davinson Sanchez after travelling to play for their countries.
Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has confirmed Lo Celso and Romero will not be released early from international duty.
They face Peru in the early hours (BST) of Friday morning (15th October).
Emerson and Sanchez are in similar situations with Brazil and Colombia respectively.

Spurs play on Sunday (17th October) against Newcastle, meaning all four look likely to miss out.
Hutton admitted his heart bleeds for the managers amid the conflict between club and country.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It is a nightmare for the managers. I do feel for them.
“I don’t believe you can tell the players they can’t go play international football. However, you can see why they’re against it.
“Tottenham were obviously missing the players from the last internationals. Now it has happened again.
“They are not doing great at the moment so to miss all these players and try reshape your team, get somebody else in, doesn’t help.
“It is a bit of club v country. I can totally see both sides, you always want to play international football.
“I think sometimes, with everything that’s going on, you just have to sit back. Take a look at it and then make a decision what you’re going to do moving forward.”
