Odds slashed: Robbie Keane emerges as favourite for Premier League manager job
Ferencvaros manager Robbie Keane has emerged as a contender to return to English football in the coming months.
Keane has been heavily linked to Tottenham in recent weeks amid the intensifying pressure surrounding Thomas Frank.
The Dane is fighting to save his job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with his side only six points clear of the relegation zone.
Football Insider revealed in January, however, that Keane is unlikely to be considered by Tottenham if they are to sack Frank.
Keane has also been linked with the Leicester City job, after Marti Cifuentes was dismissed at the end of January.

Robbie Keane is the favourite to take over at Wolves
Wolves‘ position has been clear for some time now. They are set for relegation to the Championship, and it looks as if Rob Edwards will join them there.
The former Middlesbrough manager was appointed in the wake of Vitor Pereira‘s dismissal in November, but has been unable to produce any better form.
Wolves did have a rare period without losses when they won two of five games unbeaten in January, but three consecutive losses have followed.
While there is an acknowledgement that Edwards was dealt a shoddy hand at Molineux, there has been some frustration against the 43-year-old, too.
Over-reliance on certain players and frustrating tactical decisions have left some fans wondering if the former Luton Town boss is indeed the right man to lead Wolves in the Championship.
Should decision-makers come to a similar agreement over the coming weeks, Keane has emerged as the favourite to replace him.

One major bookmaker has placed the former Tottenham striker at 7/2 odds to take charge, while Kevin Muscat (5/1) and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (7/1) make up the other front-runners.
Keane comments on Premier League links
Keane’s senior career began at Wolves, where he scored 27 goals in 85 appearances in his three years at Molineux.
He is best known for his time at Tottenham, however, and he was asked about links to the Premier League giants in January.
“A lot of stuff gets written, even when I was a player, about going different places, but it goes over my head,” he explained.

“I am concentrating on what I am doing. It’s nice your name is there, who puts it there? I haven’t got a clue. It shows you I’m doing ok to be put there. I’m obviously aware of it, but I’m happy here.”
Ferencvaros are narrowly leading the Hungarian top flight under the management of Keane, who led them to the title last season.
“I can’t help being linked to places,” he added. “If people are mentioning your name, you are obviously doing something right, you are doing a half-decent job where you are.”
