Euro giants starlet drops strong hint at Celtic deal on social media
By Abigail Withey
Celtic’s imminent signing Odsonne Edouard has posted an Instagram message which looks to confirm his arrival at Parkhead.
The 19-year-old has been continuously linked with a move to the Scottish champions over the latter half of the transfer window, and a recent report in French publication Le Parisien claimed on Wednesday that the treble winners were close to securing the star in a dazzling last-gasp deal.
Earlier today The Daily Mail claimed in their live transfer blog [09:43am] that the player is currently undergoing a medical.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward posted a black screen on his Instagram story on Wednesday evening which simply had a “…” followed by a four leaf clover emoji, which suggests he is close to joining the Paradise.
The teenager posted the message on his official Instagram account, and because it’s on his story the picture will disappear after a number of hours.

Edouard was born in French Guiana and joined PSG’s academy as a young teenager before progressing to its B team.
The forward still hasn’t featured in the Ligue 1 outfit’s senior squad, and has been on loan with fellow French side Toulouse over the previous season.
Football Insider verdict
Edouard’s instagram message is a clear indication that he is close to joining the Scottish treble winners. The young star shows promise and talent despite not making a senior appearance for PSG yet. The teenager has had an excellent run during his youth international duties, and Brendan Rodgers will undoubtably be hoping for a repeat at Parkhead. Celtic surely have enough money to buy the star if they wanted, but like with Patrick Roberts the club will opt for a loan move first. With star forward Moussa Dembele likely to miss the start of their European campaign and Leigh Griffiths’ injury woes, it’s unsurprising that the boss wants a frontman fast.
In other Celtic transfer news, a BBC commentator has claimed the club will be in Europe post-Christmas if they sign this player by Thursday night.
