Ofoborh could leave Rangers this summer after reveal - Whelan
Noel Whelan claims Rangers could loan out Nnamdi Ofoborh next season after an injury-ridden end to his 2020/21 campaign.
The former Aberdeen striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the midfielder’s situation is far from ideal for Steven Gerrard.
Rangers announced the pre-contract signing of Ofoborh in February and loaned him back to his former side Wycombe.
Ofoborh, 21, only played 314 minutes across eight appearances for the Chairboys.
He was dropped from Gareth Ainsworth’s squads but there was no update from the club as to why he was failing to even make the bench.
Ofoborh has finally revealed he was struggling with injury and didn’t want to aggravate his problem further. [Daily Record]

The midfielder is still on the mend and is hopeful of being ready for the Gers’ pre-season plans.
Whelan insists there is little risk for Rangers if Ofoborh fails to make the grade at Ibrox.
“It’s less of a risk when they are on a pre-contract,” Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Gerrard must believe he has something, he wouldn’t have signed him otherwise.
“It isn’t ideal that he couldn’t help keep Wycombe up but that sometimes happens.
“He could go back out on loan next season if Rangers aren’t convinced, that’s not a problem and I can see it.
“You want your new players to hit the ground running and be ready and fit for pre-season.
“It isn’t ideal for Gerrard but it’s not the end of the world, he has so many options.”
Ofoborh started his career with Bournemouth, joining their academy in 2016.
He only made five senior appearances for the Cherries.
