Celtic go into Sunday’s game against Motherwell at Fir Park on the back of one of their most important victories in years, the 3-2 win over Rangers at Ibrox.
The manner of the win should give the Hoops plenty of confidence for the rest of the season, as they thrived in a difficult situation following the sending-off of Jozo Simunovic.
The Bhoys showed plenty of determination and spirit at Ibrox, and they will need that for the trip to Fir Park, where they struggled in November and were indebted to Scott Sinclair’s late penalty which earned a point in a 1-1 draw.
The Hoops are on the home straight towards a seventh consecutive title, and they will be out to maintain their healthy nine point lead at the top of the table before the international break begins.
Brendan Rodgers should make three changes from the side which won at Ibrox for the trip to Fir park.
