Goal machine responds to image of him in Leeds kit ahead of reported Elland Road switch
Barnsley goal machine Oli McBurnie has responded after an old image of him wearing a Leeds United kit surfaced on Twitter.
The Scottish Sun has reported that McBurnie, 21, will return to Elland Road in the summer transfer window after turning down a new deal at Swansea.
The Scotland international has been in stunning form while on loan at Barnsley, scoring eight goals in 13 appearances since moving to Oakwell in January.
The Scottish Sun has previously reported that McBurnie was released by Leeds at the age of 15 for being too short and now there has been an image of him floating around online ahead of an Under-9s game in 2005.

McBurnie is a Leeds lad and it would be a great signing for Paul Heckingbottom to make in the summer after failing to see the best at him at Barnsley before he left for Elland Road. McBurnie has bags of potential and is only going to get better. He could be Leeds’ new Chris Wood and they could either use him to launch a promotion bid or sell him for a massive profit in the future. The Scotland forward still has another year left on his Swansea deal so he could be offloaded in the summer. However there’s a good chance that the Welsh club will want to keep hold of him in the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, fans have been demanding that this 29-year-old leaves the Yorkshire club in the summer.
