‘Oliver Glasner could quit Crystal Palace after Tottenham job offer’
Oliver Glasner could walk away from Crystal Palace this summer amid speculation linking him with the managerial position at Tottenham.
That is according to former Tottenham and Man United scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Glasner will speak to the Palace board ahead of the off-season.
If the boss does not feel he will be backed in the transfer window, both in terms of recruitment and keeping their best players, he is prepared to accept an offer from Spurs.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider Glasner will hold crunch talks with Crystal Palace at the end of the season to determine his long-term future.
Tottenham, meanwhile, would be willing to back him financially to achieve their goal of getting back into European competitions next season.
Speculation is now underway as Football Insider revealed Ange Postecoglou could be sacked this week if they are knocked out of the Europa League against Frankfurt.

Oliver Glasner to hold Crystal Palace talks amid Tottenham links
Brown told Football Insider in March that Palace want Glasner to sign a new deal and are pushing to reach an agreement following Dougie Freedman’s exit.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience working with elite-level managers such as Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, has insisted that the Eagles will now have to convince Glasner to stay by backing him financially.
“Oliver Glasner is one of the names on their list,” he told Football Insider.
“He seems to me to be a very stable character, he knows what he wants and how to get it.
“The evidence is there in the way his team have performed since he came in and they’ve been largely successful – and they’re in the FA Cup semi-finals.
“He will speak to Palace to find out what sort of backing he’s going to get this summer.
“That is both in terms of players they’re going to bring in and players they’re going to keep, because there has been a lot of talk about them.
“If he doesn’t believe he will get that backing, I think he will walk and take the Tottenham job – that’s if he’s the one they decide to offer it to.
“I haven’t heard anything to suggest he’s unhappy at Palace or that he’s wanting to move on.
“But it seems Marc Guehi will leave, there’s endless talk about Mateta, then you’ve got Eze, Wharton, the spine of that team is attracting interest.
“So for Glasner, if the club can’t make any promises about keeping those players, what do you do?
“Tottenham can offer him backing in the market and they’ll be looking to get back into European competition next year, so it’s going to be a big decision.”

Andoni Iraola the frontrunner to replace Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham are believed to be looking for a manager with Premier League experience after Postecoglou struggled to adapt to the transition from Celtic.
Brown told Football Insider on 14 April that Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is Spurs’ top target to take over from Postecoglou at the end of the season.
Daniel Levy has already begun identifying potential replacements and is considering a number of names both domestically and across Europe.
However, Iraola is the outstanding candidate as things stand following an impressive season with Bournemouth as they currently sit 10th in the Premier League.
