Oliver Glasner holds ‘talks’ with Bayern Munich chief, cost of deal revealed

Crystal Palace will have to pay over £13million to sign Sacha Boey as Oliver Glasner begins discussions with Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund over his transfer.

Crystal Palace are after right wing-back reinforcements in the January window amid uncertainty around Daniel Munoz‘s future at the club.

Football Insider‘s sources recently revealed that Palace are eyeing a deal for Sacha Boey as he struggles for minutes at Bayern Munich.

The 25-year-old has only made six starts in all competitions for Vincent Kompany’s side so far this term as he fails to live up to his £25million price-tag since joining from Galatasaray last year.

Oliver Glasner‘s side are flying high in the Premier League but could soon see key man Munoz depart, with the former Frankfurt boss now making advances in his pursuit of Boey as a result.

Glasner speaks to Christoph Freund as Bayern set £13m valuation

Kompany recently admitted that he has “enormous confidence” in Boey’s abilities, but that has not necessarily translated to an increase in game-time, with just 63 minutes played in their last eight games.

Following on from Football Insider’s recent reveal, BILD podcast Bayern Insider have now reported that Boey could leave Bayern in January, with the German giants set to demand around €15m (£13.1m) for his services.

Crystal Palace have a “concrete interest” in the 25-year-old, and BILD journalist Christian Falk states that Glasner has now held talks with Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund about the move, with Juventus also interested in signing him.

Palace could lose Daniel Munoz as Boey targeted

Munoz remained at Selhurst Park throughout the summer after winning the FA Cup and Community Shield, and has continued to impress this season with three goals and two assists in 20 games so far.

Chelsea are targeting a swoop for Munoz ahead of the new year, as revealed by Football Insider, while he has admitted that he would like to play for Man United with a potential January move on the horizon.

Recent reports have stated that Palace are set to demand £30m for Munoz in the new year, with PSG, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and other top European sides are also interested in signing him.

The Eagles will not want to let him leave by any means, but they are clearly planning for all eventualities with Boey eyed as either a new first-choice right wing-back or a rotation option with the Colombian if he does stay.
