Oliver Glasner ‘tempted by RB Leipzig offer’ after Crystal Palace latest
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is being tempted by the opportunity to manage RB Leipzig as their search for a new manager continues.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the size of the job could prove difficult to turn down.
Glasner has previously managed in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, and has emerged as one of the top options for the position.
Meanwhile, the resources available at Leipzig would allow the boss more freedom in the transfer market than he is currently afforded at Selhurst Park.
Palace, however, are reluctant to lose their manager this summer after a successful season so far as they plan to build on their recent achievements.
Football Insider revealed on 25 March that Leipzig want Glasner to replace Marco Rose, although the Eagles are working towards a new contract for their manager.

Crystal Palace plan to keep Oliver Glasner after Leipzig latest
Brown told Football Insider in March that Palace are pushing to agree new terms with Glasner after they were dealt a blow with Dougie Freedman’s exit.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience working closely with top-level managers including the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Ron Atkinson at Man United insisted that the boss could find it difficult to turn down Leipzig.
“Any manager who is offered the RB Leipzig job would be interested,” he told Football Insider.
“Particularly given his experience in the Bundesliga, I think it will be tempting for him.
“He knows the country, knows the league, and he’ll be given the opportunity to fight for trophies and European qualification.
“There will be more money available to him and he’ll be able to attract different types of players to what will be available to him at Crystal Palace.
“There’s a different type of pressure there as well.
“It will depend on what he thinks about his job at Palace and how far he thinks they can go.
“They’re in an FA Cup semi-final and he’s been a success there so far, he’s done a brilliant job, but is it going to be sustainable?
“That’s the decision he has to make, but he will be tempted by the chance to manage at Leipzig.”

Steve Parish fears Selhurst Park exodus after Eberechi Eze news
As well as the interest in Glasner’s position, Crystal Palace are also concerned about the futures of a number of their key players this summer.
Brown told Football Insider on 5 April that Eberechi Eze is open to joining Tottenham, although the Eagles are determined to keep him at the club.
The midfielder has been a long-term target for Ange Postecoglou’s side after Football Insider revealed in May 2024 that Tottenham and Man City were watching Eze.
Meanwhile, the likes of Adam Wharton, Marc Guehi and Jean-Philippe Mateta have all been linked to moves away from Selhurst Park amid growing speculation.
