Oliver Glasner to be sacked in ‘the next couple of hours’ amid Crystal Palace fury: ‘He’s got to go’

Crystal Palace could part ways with Oliver Glasner in the “next couple of hours” after his explosive comments at Selhurst Park.

Steve Parish has already been left in a difficult position after the manager confirmed his decision not to stay with the Eagles beyond the end of the season, but he might not even make it to that point.

The Palace boss is now one of the favourites to be sacked, alongside Fabian Hurzeler and Scott Parker, and his recent comments could now spell the end of his time in South London.

Glasner has now openly blamed himself for the team’s poor performances, having drawn to Zrinjski Mostar in their Europa League round of 32 first leg on Thursday, 19 February.

It is safe to say that the comments have not gone down well, and it might be his last press conference as Palace manager.

Crystal Palace told to sack Oliver Glasner ‘ASAP’

Gabby Agbonlahor has certainly made his feelings clear about the Austrian’s outburst, suggesting that the club should part ways with him immediately.

Speaking on talkSPORT (20 February), Agbonlahor said, “When you’re speaking like that, with those comments, he’s got to go ASAP. Get it done in the next couple of hours.

“To say that he can’t get the best out of the players who have come in, if those words have come out of his mouth, as an owner, you’ve got no choice. They’re top players, by the way.”

Glasner made history with the Eagles, beating Man City in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, but after a season of struggles, a very sorry ending appears to be coming for the manager.

Which other Premier League managers could be sacked next?

Just a few weeks ago, Arne Slot and Pep Guardiola were leading the race to be sacked next, if reports were to be believed, but that has completely changed in the Premier League.

Hurzeler does not appear to have many games left in him, with Parker in the same boat at Turf Moor, with Burnley sitting 19th in the Premier League table, nine points from safety.

Nuno Espirito Santo had been on the verge at West Ham, but having turned their form around in recent weeks, the former Wolves and Nottingham Forest boss looks to have saved himself a bit of time.

Further up the table, Marco Silva could be in his final days at Fulham. He never appears very happy at Craven Cottage, but all these names could be beaten by Glasner.
