Oliver Glasner won’t be at Crystal Palace next summer claims club legend

Oliver Glasner’s long-term future looks uncertain at Crystal Palace, with growing fears the Austrian will not be the manager at Selhurst Park next season.

Crystal Palace’s 2-1 defeat at Everton ended a remarkable 19-game unbeaten run for the Eagles under Glasner’s leadership.

Glasner has been linked with the Man United job as interest in him increases amid Crystal Palace‘s fine Premier League form.

In the final year of his current deal at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace want Glasner to sign a new contract but the club’s ambitions would need to match his.

Oliver Glasner tipped to leave Crystal Palace

As per Sky Sports, [13 October], former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison is not confident that Glasner will remain at the club beyond this season.

The chairman has to say he has been talking to him and the conversations have been good, because you don’t want the season to disrupt,” Morrison said.

Even if the conversations aren’t good you as a chairman has to be sensible and say the conversations have been good.

I’m not a betting man, but if I was a betting man I wouldn’t think Oliver Glasner would be there in the summer.

I would love him to be there but I just think he’s looking at it thinking their be top club’s looking at him.

Whilst Crystal Palace fans will not want to lose Glasner, he would be given a fond farewell for being able to win the FA Cup and Community Shield at the club, something no one before him managed to do.

Crystal Palace star could follow Glasner out of Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish has already admitted that star midfielder Adam Wharton wants to play Champions League football.

Parish has lofty ambitions, but without major financial backing, the owner will struggle to keep both Wharton and Glasner at the club.

The Eagles are flying under Glasner, and Crystal Palace’s start to the season suggests they could qualify again for European football.

Glasner has not felt the major departure of Eberechi Eze in his squad, with his tactical nous and ability to get the best out of his squad only pushing Crystal Palace forward.
