Oliver Glasner’s stance on Crystal Palace exit revealed after Man United news
Oliver Glasner has been successful since arriving at Crystal Palace, having led them to winning the FA Cup and Community Shield for the first time ever.
The Eagles are on a club-record 18-game unbeaten run following Palace’s 2-1 win against Liverpool which came courtesy of a last-minute winner from Eddie Nketiah.
However, their success has not gone unnoticed by Premier League rivals, with Glasner’s ever-growing reputation leading to speculation about other job opportunities.
Football Insider revealed on 19 September that Man United view Glasner as an option to replace Ruben Amorim should they decide to pull the trigger on his position.
While there is no immediate concern and Amorim is not expected to be sacked yet, the pressure on his role has led to speculation surrounding his potential replacements.

Oliver Glasner ‘happy’ at Crystal Palace amid Man United links
Football Insider revealed on 6 September that Crystal Palace worry Glasner could join a Premier League rival, with United not the only club interested in his services.
However, Glasner has been tipped to stay at Crystal Palace if they can match his ambitions in the transfer market and enjoy another successful season.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the boss is “happy” at Selhurst Park, but his decision will depend on the board.
“Glasner has done a tremendous job, there’s no question about that,” he told Football Insider.
“Whether or not he stays at Crystal Palace will depend on how he is treated by the club’s hierarchy.
“If they don’t back him in his ambitions and the direction he wants to take the club, he would be entitled to say ‘thanks for everything’ and walk away when his contract is up.
“They’ve got a battle on their hands to keep him at Selhurst Park and that’s how they must treat it Palace have to do everything possible to convince him that they’re prepared to keep making progress towards the club reaching new heights.
“From what I hear, Glasner is very happy at Crystal Palace, he’s enjoying his time there and enjoys working with this group of players.
“I’m sure he would be happy to stay, but only if he gets the board’s backing, because otherwise it will feel like he’s making all this progress for nothing.
“If they have a successful season, as it looks like they will at this stage, and they’re prepared to back him, there’s no reason they can’t get the manager tied down.”
The Eagles are planning to build on their FA Cup success as they compete in four competitions this season, and Glasner is set to be crucial to their progress.
Crystal Palace plan to keep Glasner at Selhurst Park
Brown told Football Insider on 25 September that Crystal Palace are making plans to keep Glasner and hope they can extend his stay in South London.
The manager’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season as things stand, with growing fears the Eagles will struggle to keep him at the club.
Interest from Man United has thrown another spanner in the works, as Glasner is on United’s three-man shortlist, but keeping him at Palace is not viewed as impossible.

Brown warned Football Insider on 23 September that Glasner could quit Crystal Palace if they fail to match his ambitions, potentially pushing him closer to Man United.
As a result, all eyes are on Steve Parish and the Palace hierarchy after a frustrating summer window as they attempt to keep the manager on side.
