Oliver Glasner’s stance on joining Bayern Munich now revealed as release clause details emerge
Crystal Palace fell to a dramatic late 2-1 defeat away at Everton to end their club-record 19-match unbeaten run.
Adam Wharton was impressive for Crystal Palace, who might have felt that they should’ve taken more from the game.
Oliver Glasner said Crystal Palace need to be more clinical to become a top team in the Premier League after the Eagles squandered some golden opportunities to put the game to bed against Everton.
Jack Grealish wowed Danny Murphy for his performance, and he capped off Everton’s comeback with a late goal to steal all three points for the Toffees.

Sky Sports reveal Oliver Glasner’s Bayern Munich admiration
Glasner has been linked to the Manchester United job in the event that Ruben Amorim is sacked, at Old Trafford, but more elite clubs have now been linked to the Austrian.
Sky Sports in Switzerland have now revealed there is interest in joining Bayern Munich from Glasner’s side.
Reporter Sacha Tavolieri said: “Current Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner dreams of one day taking the reins at Bayern Munich.
“The Austrian coach, whose contract with the London club expires at the end of the season, is highly coveted by his management, who are keen to extend his contract.
“However, even if he renews his contract, a move to Bayern would not be ruled out; a specific release clause could be included in the new contract to allow for this transfer if the opportunity arises.”
Oliver Glasner eyes Bayern Munich role, but one thing stands in his way
As Glasner’s stock rises at Crystal Palace, so does Vincent Kompany’s in Bavaria, with the Belgian head coach winning every game so far in the 2025-26 season.
Kompany’s Bayern side beat Glasner’s old club, Eintracht Frankfurt, 3-0 ahead of the international break, and they will face Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker in a battle at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Tavolieri noted Kompany’s success and said: “The Eagles are only hoping that Vincent Kompany (under contract until June 2027) continues to perform at the highest level with the Bavarians in order to encourage them to keep the Brussels technician in his position.”
Kompany’s side have been equally as imperious as Glasner’s Palace side have been to start this season, and Eagles fans will hope they can mirror Bayern’s results throughout the rest of the season as well.
