Oliver Skipp completes Leicester City medical after terms agreed – sources

Leicester City have reached a full agreement to sign Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp, sources have told Football Insider.

The 23-year-old is undergoing his medical on Sunday as he nears a move to the King Power Stadium.

Personal terms have been agreed between the midfielder and the Foxes as he prepares to join the Premier League newboys.

The transfer is expected to cost Leicester £20million plus add-ons as Ange Postecoglou has deemed Skipp surplus to requirements.

Skipp is under contract with Spurs until 2027, but the club have decided to cut their losses on him.

Football Insider revealed that Tottenham are plotting a £20million move for Manuel Locatelli, who could be Skipp’s direct replacement.

Leicester City are gaining Premier League experience in Oliver Skipp

Leicester City had been battling Ipswich Town to sign Skipp, but they have come out on top of the race to secure his signature.

Skipp made 24 appearances for Spurs last season, but he is now searching for more regular first-team football this season.

The Foxes had been looking for someone to replace Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Skipp brings Premier League experience to do that.

Skipp is proven at this level after playing in England’s top flight 77 times, and can instantly be placed into Steve Cooper’s team.
