Ollie Watkins reacts to James Maddison’s emotional message amid Arsenal links
Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins has reacted to a message from Tottenham’s James Maddison while the striker has been linked with Arsenal.
Watkins enjoyed yet another stellar campaign with Villa last term, notching 17 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.

Watkins would be a top signing for Arsenal
As Mikel Arteta looks to rival Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title next season, the Gunners must recruit a clinical striker this summer.

Appearances | 54 |
Goals | 17 |
Assists | 14 |
Meanwhile, Arsenal are torn over signing Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres, who both enjoyed successful seasons with Leipzig and Sporting, respectively.
But if the North Londoners cannot sign either Sesko or Gyokeres, Villa hotshot Watkins should be viewed as an ideal alternative.
It could even be argued that Watkins would be a better option than either of the aforementioned duo, as he boasts Premier League experience.
The England international has proven himself as one of the best strikers in the top flight, and could heavily profit from playing alongside the likes of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka for Arsenal, as Arteta’s current assets could provide the 29-year-old with dangerous service.
Watkins could even prove to be the difference between the Gunners finishing second yet again or finally getting their hands on the Premier League title once more.
