‘One foot out the door’, ‘Horrid’ – Leeds United fans savage Crysencio Summerville after display against Cardiff City
Leeds United fans on social media are unhappy with Crysencio Summerville after his performance during the 3-0 win over Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds secured a comfortable win in Wales thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford, Daniel James and Georginio Rutter.
The Yorkshire-based side remain fourth in the Championship table, 14 points behind leaders Leicester City.
The win put an end to Leeds’ poor away form, with Daniel Farke’s side suffering three successive away defeats in the league.
Farke started with a changed front four that included Bamford leading the line ahead of Rutter, while Summerville and James started out wide.
Summerville was the only Leeds forward to not score in the match, with the 22-year-old also missing from the penalty spot late into the second half.
The Dutch winger has recently been linked with a move away from Elland Road with Aston Villa and Brighton interested in his signature.
Football Insider revealed on Sunday (7 January) that Summerville is ‘happy’ at Leeds despite interest from Premier League clubs.
Leeds fans on social media savaged Summerville for his ‘wasteful’ display in Wales.
Leeds are set to resume their Championship campaign next Sunday (21 January) when they face Preston at Elland Road.
A win would draw Leeds closer to Ipswich Town in third, with Kieran McKenna’s side currently five points above the Whites.
