Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea legend can beat this Jarrod Bowen record after West Ham antics
Jarrod Bowen is one of the only shining lights at West Ham United.
West Ham‘s recent Premier League struggles have meant that Bowen has needed to step up time and time again to win them points by scoring key goals and notching valuable assists.
The England winger has been with the Hammers for the last five-and-a-half years, since a £22million move from Hull City, achieving greatness already.
Bowen’s future at West Ham looked in doubt earlier in the campaign after a confrontation with fans in the loss against Wolves, but he stayed past the transfer deadline despite their woes under Graham Potter.
That continued in the 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday, with Bowen finishing from a corner to continue an unlikely record.
It is so impressive that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of only two others to better it.

Jarrod Bowen behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Gianfranco Zola in Premier League history for one stat
Bowen has made a habit of scoring goals at the London Stadium, and he continued that with a strike to level the scores against Palace before the Irons fell to a 2-1 defeat.
In fact, according to Opta’s statistics, 39 of Bowen’s 58 Premier League goals have been scored at the Hammers’ controversial home, which equates to 67 per cent of his strikes.
When that is compared to every other player with more than 50 goals in the competition, only Premier League greats Gianfranco Zola (69 per cent at Chelsea‘s Stamford Bridge) and Cristiano Ronaldo (69 per cent at Man United‘s Old Trafford) have a higher ratio at a single ground.
Jarrod Bowen is priceless to West Ham’s chances of Premier League progress
There has not been a more influential player at West Ham than Bowen in the last five years, and he has often singlehandedly won them points during tough moments in recent seasons.
Bowen was ruled out for a month with a fractured foot at the start of 2025, and his impact on the Irons’ fortunes was made clear as they won just one of the five games that he missed out on and they only scored more than twice in one game.
West Ham were braced for offers for Bowen ahead of the summer window, but few rumours about his exit followed as another big name in Mohammed Kudus instead departed the East London outfit to controversially join Tottenham.
Bowen had to apologise to West Ham’s fans after they clashed away at Wolves last month, but the longer they struggle at the bottom of the league, the more likely he is to depart soon.
He will be aiming high in terms of his career ambitions with the World Cup on the horizon, and so will likely welcome a managerial change if Potter is soon sacked, which seems likely after a defeat to Palace.
Bowen could be the only hope of Premier League survival.
