Ossie Ardiles believes Tottenham are in for a “very tough” clash against last season’s Premier League champions Leicester City on Thursday evening.
Tottenham face the Foxes in their penultimate Premier League fixture this season, as they play for pride after confirming their second-placed finish with victory over Man United on Sunday.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, former Spurs player and manager Ardiles believes his old side are in for a difficult test but also claimed he is “very confident” that they will win.
Leicester tonight. Very tough but as always Very Confident. Good luck to MP and the boys at @SpursOfficial. COYS

Manager Mauricio Pochettino could be set to reshuffle his side in order to give a number of fringe stars a chance to face Craig Shakespeare’s Leicester side.
The Foxes currently sit in 11th and will be hoping they can cause an upset in order to climb into the top half of the table, leapfrogging Bournemouth, West Brom and Southampton.
There is likely to be a sense of rivalry at the King Power Stadium under the floodlights, after Leicester pipped Spurs last season to the Premier League title.
However, Spurs will come into the match in buoyant mood after winning 11 of their last 13 league games, but will need to go one better than the reverse fixture to make that 12 wins.
Spurs could only draw 1-1 at home against Leicester last time out at White Hart Lane, with Vincent Janssen’s penalty cancelled out by flying winger Ahmed Musa.
In other Tottenham news, this rookie duo have been given a shock call-up to the Spurs side to face Leicester.
