Aston Villa should make four changes to their starting XI when they take on Championship leaders Newcastle on Monday night.
Villa travel to the north east searching for their first win in 2017 after they were beaten 3-1 at home to Barnsley on Tuesday night in a mistake-ridden performance.
The same type of display could see Steve Bruce’s side suffer another demoralising defeat and fall further down the table.
Therefore, Bruce must bring in Andre Green, Mile Jedinak, Neil Taylor and Mark Bunn for the Monday night fixture.
As a result, he must drop Jack Grealish, Jonathan Kodjia, Jordan Amavi and Sam Johnstone for the mouth-watering tie.
Striker Scott Hogan should play up front for Bruce in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with the likes of Conor Hourihane, Jedinak and Henri Lansbury bulking up the midfield.
The experienced Jedinak has been hugely missed by Villa and he would sit in front of the back four as the duo of Lansbury and Hourihane play with more freedom in front of him.
Academy product Grealish produced a poor display against the Tykes and should be replaced by teenager Green who looked lively when he came on during that match.
Furthermore, out-of-sorts defender Amavi needs to be dropped after he was at fault for two of the three goals conceded on Tuesday.
Between the sticks, Johnstone is yet to keep a clean sheet for the club since his arrival in January and he should be replaced by the more experienced Bunn.
