Paolo Di Canio urges his former club to sign striker after West Ham ‘interest’ revealed
West Ham legend Paolo Di Canio has told his former club Juventus to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves.
Strand Larsen has faced huge criticism at Wolves this season, with the striker failing to recreate his impact on loan.
The Norway international scored 14 Premier League goals last season when on loan from Celta Vigo, but has added just one more since returning permanently.
Strand Larsen pushed for a move to Newcastle United in the summer, but the Magpies ultimately failed in their pursuit.
Following the transfer window, Strand Larsen signed a new contract with Wolves, with the deal set to run until at least 2030.

West Ham set to push for Jorgen Strand Larsen
Strand Larsen is keen to leave Wolves in the coming months, with Rob Edwards‘ team destined for the Championship.
Wolves have failed to win a single game this season, losing 15 of their 17 Premier League fixtures and already facing a 16-point deficit to safety.

Vitor Pereira was sacked and replaced by the former Luton Town boss in November, but the switch has done nothing to change their fortunes.
Several players are already assessing their options ahead of a relegation that feels practically guaranteed already.
Strand Larsen is among them, and on Sunday, David Ornstein reported that West Ham have expressed an interest in signing the 25-year-old.
With Niclas Fullkrug in talks to join AC Milan, the Hammers are in need of attacking reinforcements in January.
Several other clubs are considering a move for the Norwegian, however, and any deal is likely to be a costly one.
Paolo Di Canio offers ‘hungry’ Strand Larsen verdict
Juventus may well be among the challengers for the signature of Strand Larsen, if Di Canio‘s words are anything to go by.
“Juve need a physical player up front, someone who can play a key role,” the former Hammer told Sky Sport Italia via Tuttosport on Wednesday.
“You can’t live on midfielders alone. From England, I suggest Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolverhampton. Physical, hungry, a team player.
“He’s not a phenomenon, but he makes the others perform better. I’d go for him for €40-45million.”
Decision-makers at the London Stadium will be hoping that Juventus ignore their former player, however, with the Serie A side likely a better draw for Strand Larsen.
But Di Canio’s verdict is positive, and one that will provide encouragement for West Ham ahead of a potential January move.
