Paul Gascoigne has told Tottenham fans that he will be focusing on his health and therefore cannot attend the club’s last match at White Hart Lane.
Spurs are set to play their final game at their old stadium on May 14 against Manchester United, looking to pick up all three points.
Club legend Gascoigne was one of a number of former players invited by the club as a guest, alongside players such as Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles.
However, former England international Gascoigne, who is regarded as one of the country’s greatest ever players, sent this message to his fans.
“There are a lot of Tottenham games I could go to and I know it is going to be a party bash for them,” said Gascoigne, as quoted by the Mirror. “Good luck to the guys who are going to go there.

“But for me at the moment I just need to concentrate on getting well and staying well.”
By the time, Mauricio Pochettino’s side play United, current Premier League leaders Chelsea could have already clinched the Premier League title.
Antonio Conte’s team play Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, looking to capitalise on Spurs’ slip-up against West Ham on Friday night.
Chelsea will then travel to the Midlands to take on West Brom, which could result in Conte lifting the title in his debut season.
Nonetheless, Spurs will be hoping to end their affiliation with White Hart Lane on a high as they are yet to be beaten in north London this term.
During their last home match, they beat their bitter rivals, Arsenal added with the fact that Manchester City and Chelsea have also suffered defeats at the Lane.
In other Tottenham news, a Sky Sports pundit has stated that questions will be raised after this stunning Spurs decision.
