Paul Ince believes that Tottenham will lose their first ever Premier League match at Wembley Stadium against Chelsea this weekend.
The former England international believes that the Premier League champions will come away with a 3-2 victory on Sunday afternoon.
The last time the two sides met each other at the national stadium, Spurs endured a 4-2 defeat in the FA Cup semi-final last season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men enjoyed a fine start to the new league campaign with a convincing 2-0 win away at St James’ Park against Newcastle United last weekend, thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Ben Davies.
Writing in his column for the Express, Ince believes that Chelsea should not be written off despite their opening day defeat against Burnley and feels they will come away with the three points.
“Oh what a game!” he wrote.
“Tottenham’s first league game at Wembley, which should be pretty exciting and tetchy.
“They’ve had literally one game, they’re the champions, and people are foolish to rule them out so soon.
“It actually winds me up. In fact, I think they’ll just have the edge over Spurs today even though they will probably be without a couple of players.”
Spurs played their Champions League matches at Wembley last season but they failed to impress, losing two of their three home matches.
However, Tottenham enjoyed an impressive victory over the Blues at White Hart Lane last season as Dele Alli bagged himself a brace as they won 2-0.
Spurs will be looking to register only their sixth victory against Chelsea in the entire Premier League era on Sunday.
