Paul Lambert: I can guarantee Rangers will do this against Celtic next weekend

Paul Lambert “can guarantee” Rangers will approach the Old Firm derby next week totally different to the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The Wolves manager is convinced manager Pedro Caixinha will learn from the 2-0 defeat to Celtic at Hampden Park on Sunday.
Lambert believes Rangers were guilty of sitting back, allowing the superior Celtic players time on the ball and not being aggressive enough.
Asked on Sky Sports 2’s live coverage of Sunday’s cup clash how Rangers will play when the two bitter rivals go head to head at Ibrox on Saturday of next week, Lambert said: “I don’t think they’ll sit off, I don’t think they’ll allow Celtic to pass the ball like that.
“It’ll be at Ibrox, they’ll have 50,000 fans there and the majority of the crowd on their side.

“I can guarantee they won’t play like that [today]. They will have to be on the front foot. Celtic are a better team, with better players and if you give them time they can hurt you.
“Rangers will have to get in their faces and make it the derby that it is – not pretty, these games are all about winning.”
The defeat to Celtic was Caixinha’s first as Rangers manager, with his previous five matches at the helm yielding three wins and two defeats.
Former Celtic midfielder Lambert believes the Portugese will have learned a lot about the limitations of his players, who came unstuck against the juggernaut that Brendan Rodgers’ side have been all season.
The Hoops are now eyeing a historic treble after already lifting the Scottish Premiership title on the back of an unbeaten run as well as the Scottish League Cup.
Celtic will face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden on 27 May.
