Paul Merson predicts Everton v Watford
By Harvey Byrne
Paul Merson has predicting a straightforward win for Everton when they take on Watford at Goodison Park on Friday evening.
The Toffees are currently preparing to host the Hornets in the 7.45pm kick off, which will mark Everton’s last home match of the campaign.
The Merseysiders will be hoping to end their results at Goodison Park with a victory on Friday evening, but when Everton last met Watford in December the Hertfordshire-based side ended up with a 3-2 win with goals from Stefano Okaka and Sebastian Prodl cancelling out a Romelu Lukaku double.
But, Merson believes it will be a much different story this time around and the former Arsenal man has predicted a 3-0 win for Ronald Koeman’s side.
“Watford are on holiday. It’s understandable because they’ve done just about to enough to stay up, but they’ve been so poor lately and I can’t see that changing. Everton lost against Swansea last time out, which was a poor result, but they’ll want to finish strongly at home,” told Merson to the Sky Sports website.

Everton are going through a poor spell of form at the moment with just two defeats and a draw in their last three matches with no goals scored.
However, Watford are going through a similarly bad run and they have suffered four defeats from their last five games with just one goal scored.
The Toffees are now guaranteed to finish in seventh place in Ronald Koeman’s first season in charge with two games left, while Watford are still not guaranteed to be safe.
