Paul Merson predicts Liverpool v Burnley, states what Jurgen Klopp wants
By Amir Mir
Paul Merson has backed Liverpool to beat Burnley 3-1 at Anfield in their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
Sky Sports pundit Merson believes Jurgen Klopp will want his side to “build” on their 3-1 win against Arsenal last Saturday.
Goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum helped the Reds see off their Champions League challengers.
Now, they will be looking to pick up another three more points against a Sean Dyche side that is yet to win on the road this term and were beaten 3-2 at Swansea last time out.
Former Arsenal playmaker Merson believes Burnley are improving on their travels but he expects the home team to pick up all the points.

“Burnley have been doing much better away from home in recent weeks but the result haven’t quite gone their way,” Merson told Sky Sports. “They were very unlucky the other day when they lost 3-2 to a late goal at Swansea.
“However, I have to back Liverpool. They put in a much-improved display against Arsenal last weekend and Jurgen Klopp will want his side to build on that.”
The Reds go into this fixture sitting in fourth place, knowing a win could see them close the gap on the three teams above them.
Manchester City, Tottenham and leaders Chelsea are all in FA Cup action at the weekend, so it gives Klopp the chance to close the gap on their rivals.
During the reverse fixture in August, Dyche inflicted the first defeat of the season on Klopp’s team when they picked up a 2-0 win.
The Merseyside club have struggled against teams in the bottom half, losing to the likes of Leicester, Swansea and Hull during this campaign.
