Paul Merson predicts West Ham v Hull clash
By Dominic Toner
Paul Merton has predicted West Ham to suffer a defeat against Hull in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
The Hammers travel to Hull as domestic football resumes after the international break and will be looking to end a recent run of poor form.
Slaven Bilic’s side have lost their last three consecutive matches and slipped down to 12th in the league table.
They have also conceded in each of their last eight games and have struggled defensively.
Sky Sports pundit Merson expects their poor form to continue at Hull and has tipped a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the hosts.

“This should be a good game,” Merson told Sky Sports. “West Ham haven’t been great, though they are better away from home.
“I just think Hull have to win this game, they’ve got two games at home in the space of a few games, and they need to get six points from these two games.”
West Ham managed to win the previous meeting with Hull this season 1-0, with captain Mark Noble netting the decisive goal from the penalty spot.
However, they have been struggling recently to grind out results of late and come up against a side that are desperately fighting relegation.
Marco Silva’s team are 18th-placed in the table and three points away from safety, meaning they will be desperate to make home advantage count at the weekend.
Merson referred to West Ham’s stronger away form this season as they get to grips with their new London Stadium at home, but feels they will come unstuck against Hull.
