Paul Merson: Tottenham player is one of the most underrated in the Premier League
By Amir Mir
Paul Merson believes Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old has had a highly productive season for Spurs, helping them fight for the title by playing a key role in the middle of the park.
Eriksen’s teammates Dele Alli and Harry Kane have taken the limelight during this campaign, mainly because of their goalscoring form.
While Eriksen’s ability to control a match from midfield has perhaps gone unnoticed, the Dane has supplied 20 assists in all competitions this term.
Ahead of the north London derby at the weekend, this is what Merson told Sky Sports News on Friday morning about Eriksen.

“Eriksen, I think, is one of the most underrated players in the Premier League,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“I think he’s up there with the best of the best. I mean when he gets the ball, Alli comes alive. He can pass the ball through the eye of the needle.”
Tottenham are chasing the Premier League title as they are currently four points behind leaders Chelsea in the table.
During their midweek game against Crystal Palace, Eriksen scored a brilliant long-range effort late in the second half to help his team secure a much-needed three points.
The match at Selhurst Park was heading for a goalless draw before Eriksen stepped up during a big moment to help keep the pressure on the league leaders.
Over the course of the season, Eriksen has played 32 league matches for his side, scoring eight goals added with is 12 assists.
In other Tottenham news, Sky Sports pundit is not surprised this 26-year-old has been linked away.
