‘Pay hand over fist for him’ – Leeds fans react to Joe Rodon display in 2-0 win against Blackburn
Leeds United fans were full of praise for loan star Joe Rodon following their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
The Yorkshire club closed the gap to Ipswich Town in the Championship table and extended their unbeaten league run to seven matches.
Dan James opened the scoring at Ewood Park after 27 minutes and Crysencio Summerville continued his strong form in front of goal to double the lead in the second half.
But fans on social media aimed their praise towards Leeds centre-back Joe Rodon, who has now made 17 appearances for the Whites since joining the club in the summer transfer window.
Rodon joined Leeds on loan from Tottenham in August and the 26-year-old has quickly become a key player for Daniel Farke’s side in the Championship.
Leeds currently boast the second-best defensive record in the Championship with their 20 goals conceded only bettered by league leaders Leicester City.
Whites fans were full of praise for the Wales international on social media after another strong performance in the heart of defence.
Plenty of praise was also directed towards Rodon’s successful partnership with teammate Pascal Struijk.
This supporter believes Rodon is at a ‘gold standard’ for Leeds this season.
Others urged the Leeds hierarchy to pay whatever it costs to get Rodon to sign permanently at Elland Road.
