Per Mertesacker makes big Arsenal claim on Twitter ahead of Stoke clash
By Will Butcher
Per Mertesacker has called on his Arsenal teammates to maintain their emphatic form against Stoke on Saturday and insisted the team “won’t slip” up.
The 32-year-old made the big claim while he works his way back to full fitness after injuring his knee in pre-season against French outfit Lens.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, the World Cup winner claimed the entire Arsenal squad are “focused on every single minute” as the busy Christmas period begins to take shape.
With the “games coming thick and fast now”, Mertesacker is confident his teammates are well placed to build on their second position in the table.
