West Brom

Matheus Pereira will be one of three big names to leave West Brom this summer if relegated.

That is according to former England number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about senior players’ futures at The Hawthorns ahead of the summer transfer window.

Pereira has blown hot and cold for the Baggies this season, but is their top-scorer with six goals and three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

He moved to The Hawthorns permanently last summer and put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Robinson suggested he may join a mid-table side.

“If West Brom go down, they will get asset stripped. I think Bartley will be one of many that leave,” he told Football Insider.

“I think Sam Johnstone and Pereira are two others that will go, they’ve shown their quality.

“Pereira has shown enough class and quality in his time in England to prove that he can play in the Premier League. I think he would excel in a better side, a team higher up the table with better players.”

According to The Telegraph‘s Mike McGrath, Newcastle United and Burnley are keeping tabs on Kyle Bartley following his impressive performances of late.

Sam Johnstone is another who could depart at the end of the season and Football Insider understands the goalkeeper’s transfer value will increase if he makes his debut for England  against Poland tomorrow.
