Perfect for Benjamin Sesko, Man United must pull trigger on Casemiro successor after POTM display
Benjamin Sesko is desperate for more service in the final third as the new striker continues to drift in and out of form at Old Trafford.
Man United fans are not fully sold on Sesko just yet, having only seen him net five goals in 20 games since signing, but many believed he had finally arrived when he scored a brace against Burnley.
Since then, he has scored against Brighton, been benched against Man City, and was only given nine minutes as Michael Carrick’s side shocked Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
In the Premier League, after Bruno Fernandes, who has 10 assists to his name, the next highest creator is Patrick Dorgu, who is now sidelined, on three, followed by three other players on two assists.

Casemiro has confirmed he will be leaving Man United
If the Red Devils are to continue climbing up the Premier League table, which will be under Carrick’s guidance until the end of the season, they will need reinforcements before the window slams shut.
Of course, supporters are always keen for more attackers to be signed for more excitement in the final third, but United have a very obvious transfer priority after Casemiro confirmed his exit at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old is one of the highest-paid players at the club, and with four goals and one assist this term, he can often have an important say in front of goal.
It will be important to find a replacement for the Brazilian, who is even better defensively than he is in the attacking half, but can go forward when called upon to help his teammates.
Aleksandar Stankovic will have stunned Premier League scouts
It is understood that Man United are one of the teams scouting Club Brugge‘s Aleksandar Stankovic, albeit his former club Inter Milan hold a £23million option to re-sign him in the summer.
Scouts will have been massively impressed by the 20-year-old during Brugge’s 3-0 win over Marseille on Wednesday, 28 January, where the defensive midfielder earned FotMob‘s Player of the Match award.
The Serbian international notched a goal and two assists in 86 minutes, creating three chances, landing two shots on target, with four passes into the final third, and 100 per cent accurate crosses.
He also made two recoveries, won 100 per cent of his tackles, and broke up the play with one foul before being replaced, earning a reputation as someone who can play at either end of the pitch.
While United have Casemiro until the summer, it will be important to fill his spot long before then, and after his display against Marseille, Sesko would love the prospect of him joining in this window.
