The post received plenty of reactions from past and present teammates, with Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and former City star Riyad Mahrez among those liking the post.
Ruben Dias commented: “It was unforgettable Kev” while Savinho and Rico Lewis added emojis in response.
De Bruyne will leave the Etihad as a club legend and one of the greatest midfielders in Premier League history, having registered 108 goals and 177 assists during his time with City.
Although his next move has not yet been confirmed, Liverpool have emerged as a surprise potential destination.
Speculation intensified after Mohamed Salah had a cheeky message to De Bruyne in an interview, saying: “There’s space” – prompting fans to believe a shock Anfield switch could be on the cards.
