Phil Foden reacts to Marcus Rashford’s update away from Man United as exit beckons

Man United forward Marcus Rashford has provided an update to supporters while his future at the club remains uncertain.

Rashford is currently exploring options away from United following the end of his loan spell with Aston Villa last month.

The forward has been granted an extended break from pre-season training to give him time to secure a move elsewhere this summer.

Football Insider previously reported that Manchester United are open to accepting a cut-price deal for Rashford in the region of £30million. However, no formal or substantial offers have yet been tabled.

Barcelona have shown interest in Rashford, but the Spanish giants are believed to be favouring a loan deal rather than a permanent move at this stage.

While the rest of the United squad have returned for pre-season, Rashford has given fans a glimpse into his current activities, as speculation over his next destination continues to build.

Marcus Rashford shares gym update amid ongoing Manchester United exit links

Rashford offered fans a glimpse into his current routine, sharing several photos from a gym session as he continues to maintain fitness during his extended break from the squad.

The post, captioned simply as “The lab”, received plenty of interaction from fellow Premier League players. Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier and former United teammate Jesse Lingard were among those who reacted.

Antony, who has also been given time off by Ruben Amorim amid links to a potential United departure, liked the post as well.

One possible reason behind the delay in Rashford finding a new club is his reported £300,000-a-week wage demands, which are believed to be a stumbling block for potential suitors.

Football Insider recently revealed that a resolution over Rashford’s future is unlikely to come until late in the transfer window, with most interested clubs preferring a loan deal rather than committing to a permanent transfer.

Manchester United register interest in Douglas Luiz

While the club continue to push for the exit of some of their highest earners, United remain active in the transfer market.

Football Insider revealed Man United have expressed their interest in Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, who could be on the move this summer.

Juventus are understood to be open to selling Luiz permanently, rather than allowing a short-term deal, and are weighing up offers as they look to reshape their midfield.

Man United fans have shown strong support for Luiz’s potential arrival, especially after reports claimed he could be involved in a possible swap deal with Jadon Sancho.
