Phil Foden sends five-word Man City message after his transformation
Phil Foden has sent Man City fans a message following his personal transformation and role in his team’s emphatic victory against Chelsea on Saturday (25 January).
Pep Guardiola’s team came back from behind to win 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium after conceding in the third minute, with goals from Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland, and Foden himself wrapped up the result.
The England international found the back of the net in the 87th minute to put the game beyond Chelsea as City leapfrogged Enzo Maresca’s team in the table.
City now sit in fourth place after 23 games and are just three points behind Nottingham Forest.
The goal continued Foden’s rich run of form, with the 24-year-old being back to his very best since the turn of the year.
Foden has now scored in all of his last four Premier League outings, having found the back of the net six times in that period.

Foden took to Instagram to celebrate what the result meant to him by saying, “A big three points today.”
Foden had only scored one goal in the Premier League this season prior to his recent run, which has played a role in City’s results improving at the same time.
The defending Premier League champions are undefeated in their past six fixtures which has seen them get back into the top four.
City will be back in action on Wednesday (29 January) against Club Brugge in an important Champions League fixture.
That will be followed by an equally important Premier League tie on Sunday (2 February) against Arsenal.
