Man City star Phil Foden has taken to social media to share behind-the-scenes images from their first training session of 2025.
The 24-year-old played just over an hour for Man City as they rounded off a rollercoaster 2024 with a much-needed 2-0 Premier League win over Leicester.
Having won a fourth consecutive Premier League title last season, the first half of this campaign has seen City fall out of the top four, winning two, drawing three, and losing eight of their last 13 games across all competitions.
City’s poor run of form at the back end of 2024 also has them facing the very real threat of elimination from the Champions League, sitting in 22nd in the new league phase with French Champions PSG in their penultimate game.

Foden has struggled so far this season having been named the 2023-24 Premier League Player of the Season just over six months ago, starting 16 of his games across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing two assists in 1486 minutes of action.
The attacking midfielder will doubtless be hoping that, in 2025, he will recapture some form, taking to Instagram to share images from their first training session of the new year.
