Alex Bruce claims that Wolves striker Raul Jimenez could be worth as much as £130million were he to be sold this summer.
The former Premier League defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, points to the Mexico international’s impressive goalscoring record as the reason behind his bold valuation.
The 28-year-old has emerged as one of the most dangerous strikers in the Premier League since arriving at Molineux, scoring 13 top-flight goals last season before netting the same amount this term.
Bruce believes Wolves will be able to demand what they want for their attacking talisman if rivals come calling and believes a £100million-plus price could be on the cards.
Asked what sort of price Wolves would demand for Jimenez this summer, Bruce told Football Insider: “Phwoar, bloody hell. God only knows, it’s name your price, really.
“When you’ve got someone that’s a goal scorer, we know they’re the most valuable players on the pitch, somebody who can put the ball in the back of the net. That’s up to Wolves, what they would want for him.
“Most players have their price and if you’re talking about £200million for Harry Kane to go to Man United, what would Jimenez be worth – £120million, £130million, something like that?”
Jimenez has netted a total of 39 goals in 88 appearances for Wolves after initially joining the club on loan from Benfica.
He turned his loan permanent back in April 2019, becoming the new record signing at Molineux.
In other Wolves news, Kevin Phillips claims Jimenez could be off to a Premier League rival.
