Tottenham have been handed a huge boost after Danny Rose and Erik Lamela were both pictured back in training after their respective injury layoffs.

Spurs shared photos of their training session on Wednesday on their official Twitter account, and it showed that the crocked duo have begun to step up their efforts to return from serious injury blows.

Left back Rose has been ruled out of action following a severe knee injury suffered back at the start of the year, while Lamela has been awaiting his return for even longer.

The Argentinian attacking midfielder has been missing for nearly a year with a hip injury, having not made an appearance for the club since October 2016 in the club’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Lamela has made 117 appearances for the club since signing from Roma, and he will be hoping that he can add to that total before the end of the year.

Spurs have also had midfield duo Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele missing through injury, although they are set to return over the coming days if a report from football.london is to be believed.

It is claimed that the pair are both set to return to fitness on Saturday 14th October, although it awaits to be seen whether either will appear in Spurs’ Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

In other Tottenham news, Jan Vertonghen has named this Premier League star as equal to the talents of Harry Kane.
