Piers Morgan delivers ruthless Twitter verdict on Wenger situation at Arsenal
By Dominic Toner
Piers Morgan believes that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger need to be put out of his misery after an embarassing defeat away to Crystal Palace on Monday night.
The Gunners slumped to a 3-0 loss at the hands of relegation threatened Palace and it left the north London club with a small chance of finishing inside the top-four places this season.
Wenger’s situation at the Emirates Stadium remains unclear as the Frenchman is yet to announce whether he will be staying with the club at the end of the campaign.
Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan voiced his frustration on social media and feels that something drastic needs to change.
“Pathetic to see a once-proud winner like Wenger reduced to this losing limpet. Somebody put him, and us, out of this misery,” Morgan wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Wenger is regarded as Arsenal’s most successive manager ever, but his reputation has become tarnished in recent seasons after his failure to win major silverware.
They have finished in the top four in every season under the French manager, but have not lifted the title since the 2003/04 campaign.
The Gunners are in serious danger of missing out on the Champions League places following the Palace defeat and it means they are seven points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City, with a game in hand.
Arsenal have lost their last four consecutive away matches in the Premier League and look a team short of confidence.
They are still in the FA Cup semi-finals against Manchester City and will hope to lift themselves for a late run at the top four.
