Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has revealed his fury on Twitter at Arsene Wenger’s reported decision to stay.

The Telegraph reported on Sunday night that Wenger has decided to continue as Arsenal manager, despite the club’s dire recent form.

But Morgan, a chief advocate of the ‘Wenger Out’ brigade, took to his personal Twitter account early on Monday morning to share his anger at the prospect of facing another two years with the Frenchman in charge at the Emirates.

That led to former cricket star Michael Vaughan joking that it meant another two years of Twitter meltdowns from Morgan.

And it didn’t take long for another angry Tweet from Morgan.

Morgan is no stranger to making his feelings known on Twitter, but his latest outburst may actually see him given the rare backing of the Arsenal fans, who have also called for Wenger to leave the club.

Wenger is out of contract at the end of the season, but the 67-year-old is currently mulling over a new two-year deal.

However, after a humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, followed by four defeats from five games in the Premier League, fans have demanded the Arsenal chief walk away.

But as fans await the official decision from Wenger over his long term future, the latest reports suggesting he will sign a new deal will do little to calm the protests.

A 3-1 defeat to West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday saw Arsenal fall behind Manchester United into sixth place in the Premier League.

They are currently six points adrift of the top four and 19 points behind league leaders Chelsea, while failure to better Everton’s result after the international break will see them fall to seventh.
