Piers Morgan makes extraordinary Twitter claim about Liverpool player

By Richard Parks
Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has made the extraordinary claim on Twitter that Mohamed Salah is the best player to grace the Premier League since Thierry Henry.
The Gunners legend is widely hailed as one of the competition’s greatest players for his exploits at Arsenal between 1999 and 2007.
Morgan, who tweets regularly about football, has now hailed Liverpool wide forward Salah as the best Premier League performer in the last decade following his latest dazzling performance in his side’s 4-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.

The Egypt international scored for the sixth straight game as Liverpool demolished the Hammers in an entertaining game also decorated by goals from Emre Can, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Salah has scored a remarkable 23 Premier League goals from 27 matches, and 31 in 37 games in all competitions, since joining from Roma last summer for a fee rising to a potential £44million.
Football Insider verdict:
Watching Salah soar past bona fide Liverpool legends with his remarkable debut-season goalscoring and many will find themselves nodding their heads in agreement at Morgan. The super-quick, technically brilliant Egyptian is truly an astounding player and his impact in his debut season surpasses any player in Premier League history. The best in the last 10 years? That is stretching it from the hyperbolic Morgan. Some Anfield regulars will say he is not even the best in the current Liverpool team.
In other Liverpool news, Paul Merson has named the four players from the Merseyside giants who would walk into all the Premier League top-six clubs.
